RF MFA dismisses allegations of Russian plan on Karabakh conflict settlement

The meeting between the Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan in St. Petersburg on June 20 declined all the opinions that allegedly Russia had prepared its plan for Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, bypassing the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs. “Armenpress” reports, citing the official website of RF MFA, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told in a briefing. “The meeting of the Presidents proves that those allegations are ungrounded, or a result of unprofessional analyzing”, she said.

During the meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev, attended by the representatives of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair countries in Vienna, an agreement was reached to respects the ceasefire regime established by the agreements of 1994-1995, Russian Foreign minister Sergey Lavrov told in a briefing after the meeting. “An agreement was reached according to which the OSCE will launch the works of installing investigative mechanisms on the contact line.
