Levon Aronian to face Fabiano Caruana in Tal Memorial round 9

Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian will face off against Italy’s Fabiano Caruana in the last, 9th round of Mikhail Tal Memorial.

At Moscow-hosted tournament, Aronian is 9th with 3,5 points. Caruana is leading the tournament with 5 points, followed by Teimour Radjabov (Azerbaijan) and Magnus Carlsen (Norway) with 4,5 points each.

The remaining round 9 pairings are as follows: Hikaru Nakamura- Teimour Radjabov, Evgeny Tomashevsky- Alexander Grischuk, Luke McShane- Magnus Carlsen, Vladimir Kramnik- Alexander Morozevich.
