Armenian veterans to leave for rest in the end of August

100 veterans of Great Patriotic War will spend their vacations in the sanatoriums of Arzni. Armenpress was informed from the President of the Union of Veterans colonel Simon Esayan that according to the decision of the Government the program of organizing the vacations of veterans in Arzni in three stages.

“In the first stage on August 29-September 14 35 veterans will leave for Arzni. Than two more groups will leave” said Esayan. It is important to make the program be continuous. Esayan told that the organizing of the rest of veterans is a serious step by Government directed to improvement of their social conditions.

For organizing the rest and rehabilitation treatment from reserve fund of state budget 2012 will be provided 12 million AMD. Government approved the project during its session on August 9.

According to the decision of the Government in 2010 also was implemented such program when for 12 days 300 veterans left for vacations and rehabilitation treatment. In the Republic of Armenia at present live 2200 veterans of Great Patriotic War. According to official statistics every month die 40-50 participant of Great Patriotic War.
