Armenia to increase age requirement for marriage

Men and women in Armenia must get married at the same age: 19 years old. Armenia's Ministry of Justice presented a bill on making changes in the Family Code to the Government.
The bill will be reviewed during the Government seating on Thursday. To note, according to the current Family Code women are allowed to get married at the age of 17, men at the age of 18. The bill is also related to the need to eliminate gender disparities between men and women in Armenia, reported News.am.
