Armenian police opens criminal case into Elektron factory blast

Armenian police have opened a criminal case into Elektron factory blast which claimed lives of two employees, police representative told News.am.

As reported earlier, blast hit Elektron factory on Tuesday afternoon. According to preliminary data, fire was followed by an explosion. Two men, Adibek Barsamyan, 64, and Janibek Martirosyan, 67, were trapped under the debris.

Adibek died at the scene, while Janibek Martirosyan was taken to Erebuni hospital where he died several hours later.
