Iranian officials continue their announcements towards the Western forces concerning the Iranian nuclear program and the sanctions against Iran.

Iran's Minister of Economic and Financial Affairs Shamseddin Hosseini criticized attempts by certain western countries to impose sanctions on Iranian oil and said such an act would cause instability in energy markets. IRNA writes about this.

The minister made the remark in the meeting of economic ministers of the Middle East countries and the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He said IMF was holding its meeting at a time when the Middle East region was suffering from economic crises and regional challenges.

He appreciated measures by IMF to revise the existing situation and propose political and technical solutions to the regional countries.
