National committee on Armenian-Turkish relations has been closed

Adjunct body of Higher Education Council of Turkey National committee on Armenian-Turkish relations which was opened in 2003 has been closed.

Armenpress reports citing Turkish Medias that the committee was involved in scientific researches and estimations in higher educational institutions of Turkey on Armenian-Turkish relations, Armenian culture, history, policy, public structure and economy. Among the members of the committee were two scientists form Higher education council of Turkey, 7 scientists involved in Armenian and Caucasus researches and five specialists from state and non governmental bodies. The results of scientific works were periodically introduced to Turkish society. Turkish Medias write that the process directed to the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations has been finished by the closing of the committee.
