Delegation of NKR Parliament is in London: they have meetings with British officials
Since June 11 official delegation of NKR (Artsakh) Parliament led by the NKR Parliament speaker Ashot Ghulyan is in London. Press service of Artsakh Parliament informs about this.
Minister of Culture of NKR Narine Aghabalyan and head of the department of multilateral relations of NKR Ministry of Foreign Affairs Armine Alexanyan are in the delegation. The delegation arrived in London on the invitation by the Armenian-British parliamentarian friendship group.
On the first day of the visit NKR delegation participated in the annual meeting of Armenian-British friendship group in the Lords' Palace. Baroness Caroline Cox, head of the Armenian-British friendship group, opened the meeting and welcomed Artsakh representatives. She shared her impressions from the last visit to Artsakh.
In the respond A. Ghulyan welcomed the British Parliamentarians and thanked them for sharing challenges of Artsakh nation and for assisting the young Republic. Then he presented the achievements of Artsakh during these twenty years. After his presentation A. Ghulyan answered to the questions by the presents.
Armenian Ambassador to Great Britain Karine Ghazinyan also participated in the meeting. She also thanked the British Parliamentarians.
On June 12 speaker of Artsakh Parliament delivered a speech at the London Institute of The East and African studies. The topic was entitled ''Perspectives of stability and progress in Caucasus: peace and state building process in Nagorno-Karabakh''.
Lectures and students of the institute and also the members of Armenian Community in London participated in the meeting. After the lecture A. Ghulyan answered to the questions by the presents which were about Nagorno-Karabakh issue settlement, regional cooperation obstacles, connections between the post-Soviet countries, reforms in NKR and the foreign investments there.
During the meeting with the Armenian Community representatives Artsakh delegation thanked for the assistance which let NKR to stand against the challenges.
