Quake hits Iran

An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale shook Pahleh in the western
province of Ilam close to Iran-Iraq joint border line early Tuesday, IRNA
reported.

According to the seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of  Tehran
University, the tremor occurred at 03:30 hours local time (2300  GMT Monday).
The quake was epicentered in an area located at 32.60 degrees latitude and 46.78
degrees longitude.
Ilam has been hit by several quakes of various magnitudes in the past days.
There is no report on possible damage caused by the earthquake.
