The negotiations between Armenia and Russia over the gas prices ongoing

The negotiation process over the gas tariff supplying from Russia to Armenia are still continuing .As information and public relations department of Energy and Natural Resources Ministry of the Republic of Armenia told Armenpress, the timetable of negations ending is not clear. The Ministry is set to come forth with official statement after obtaining final agreement.

Public Services Regulatory Commission, tariff policy department deputy head Ashot Ulikhanyan stated the regulatory body has not received any applications for change of gas prices from ‘’ArmRussGassard’’. 
In the meeting  between the two leaders of Armenia and Russia  ,hosted in Moscow August 8 ,Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan told the sides  have come to a consensus  pertain to gas prices supplied to Armenia. ‘’ It must proceed from gas market prices, be comparable in regional prices, keeping the effective development of Armenian economy’’ Serzh Sargsyan announced.
Currently  in Armenia the gas supply per 1000 cubic meters costs 180 dollars.
