Water tariff in Yerevan to drop by 0.006 drams per one sq/m since July 2012

Since 8 July 2012 the water tariff in Yerevan will drop to 174.059 drams per one sq/m including VAT against the present 174.065 drams, the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia (PSRC) adopted such a decision at its today's sitting and fixed this tariff for the water supply for CJSC "Yerevan Jur".

Representative of PSRC, Garegin Bagramyan, submitted the draft decision. On 23 February 2012 CJSC "Yerevan Jur" applied to the PSRC with a proposal to specify water supply tariffs. Taking into account all the factors, PSRC has decided to reduce water supply tariff.

To recall, according to the tender dated 1 July 2006, CJSC "Yerevan Jur", which enters Veolia Environment group of companies,  has been managing water supply services. Its activity is regulated by the conditions of the 10 year old rent contract of Yerevan water supply system signed by the Armenian government on 14 December 2005.
