Armenian Ministry of Defense denies information by Azerbaijani media

On July 9, in the morning, Azerbaijan news agency APA has announced that “intensive bilateral shooting” took place in the night on Armenian and Azerbaijani border near Agstev village.

After APA other Azerbaijani news agencies spread the same information as well. According to the information one Armenian soldier has died and four soldiers are wounded. The “news” aimed to be more reliable and that is why they announced that “press service of Armenian Ministry of Defense confirmed the information”.

Voskanapat.info asked press service of Armenian Ministry of Defense to comment on the “news” and the press service denied the information. “Everything was in order during the night. Armenian Army has not suffered. No intensive shootings took place as well. Naturally our service could not confirm the thing which has not taken place”, speaker of the Armenian Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.

So, the information about killed and wounded Armenian soldiers is just disinformation by APA or by the head of the press service of Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense.
