E. Nalbandyan and E.Mammadyarov will meet: international society is interested

As press service of Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Armenian MFA Edward Nalbandian leaves for Paris today to meet his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov. Nagorno-Karabakh issue settlement is the topic of the discussions.

US State Secretary Hilary Clinton announced about this meeting during her last visit to the South Caucasus. Clinton underlined that new approaches will be presented during this meeting by the OSCE MG co-chairs. These offers will aim to make the attitudes of both sides nearer.
The same announced US Ambassador to Armenian John Heffern during his interview with Radio Liberty on Saturday. He underlined that OSCE MG co-chairs have new offers and they hoped the offers will assist to settle NK issue peacefully.

OSCE chairperson-in-office Eamon Gilmore visited South Caucasus on June 11-14 and again NK issue was the main topic of discussions. He again called on the sides to remove the snipers from the first line and to refuse use of force.

This meeting is taking place after the tensions of the border between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces. The tensions were initiated by Azerbaijanis and caused deaths of soldiers from both sides.
