T. Sargsyan hosted British Ambassadors to Armenia
Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan hosted yesterday newly-appointed British Ambassadors to Armenia Jonathan Aves and Katherine Leach today. Armenian PM congratulated the Ambassadors on starting diplomatic mission in Armenia and noted that Armenia is eager to develop relations with Great Britain.
“Much is depended from your work. First of all it is necessary that British diplomacy in Armenia provides balanced attitude. We do not have oil but we have other resources which are most valuable and important. First of all it is human capital which we emphasize. That is why innovation technologies are one of the perspective branches for us”, Tigran Sargsyan said. The PM also noted that economical interests must be found in Armenia for British investors and would support the bilateral relations to be developed more.
In her turn Mrs. Katherine Leach assured that they would provide new and energetic atmosphere for Armenian-British relations. The Ambassadors noted that some British companies are interested in making investments in Armenia.
The sides also referred to Armenian economical policy in general, spoke about the bilateral inter-cultural issues and touch upon Armenia-EU cooperation as well.
